The Income Tax Department has released Income Tax Return Filing Excel-based utility for filing ITR 2. The utility was released on 11 May 2023. The utility for filing ITR-1 and ITR-4 for FY 2022-23/ AY 2023-24 have already been released on 25-Apr-2023.

To make the most of this utility, here are a few steps you can follow:

  1. Download the utility: Locate the official source for downloading the Excel-based utility for ITR 2. This could be the official website of the income tax department or any other reliable source.
