Important Tax Compliance Dates for November 2023: Complete List Provided by the Income Tax Department

November 7, 2023
- Last day to deposit taxes deducted or collected in October 2023.
- Government offices must deposit taxes deducted on the same day without needing an Income-tax challan.
November 14, 2023
- Deadline to provide TDS Certificates for taxes deducted under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S in September 2023.
November 15, 2023
- Quarterly TDS certificate due for payments made (excluding salaries) in the quarter ending on September 30, 2023.
- Government offices must submit Form 24G if they paid TDS/TCS for October 2023 without a challan.
- Stock exchanges must file statement Form No. 3BB for transactions with modified client codes in October 2023.
Important dates & Tasks For November 30, 2023:
1. Submit tax challan-cum-statement for tax deducted under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S for October 2023.
2. File your income tax return for the assessment year 2023-24 if you need to report international or specified domestic transactions under section 92E.
3. Provide Form No. 3CEAA, reporting for the accounting year 2022-23 if you are a part of an international group.
4. Share a statement of the income distribution (Form No. 64) for Venture Capital Companies or funds regarding the income distributed in the previous year 2022-23.
5. Submit Form No. 64D, reporting income distribution for Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) to Principal CIT or CIT during the previous year 2022-23.
6. Decide on the safe harbor rules for international transactions by filing Form 3CEFA.
7. Choose your safe harbor rules for specified domestic transactions by submitting Form 3CEFB.
8. File a statement of income distribution for business trusts to unitholders for the financial year 2022-23 in Form No. 64A electronically to Principal CIT or CIT.
9. If your company is eligible for weighted deduction under section 35(2AB) due to international or specified domestic transactions, provide a copy of the audit of accounts to the Secretary, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
10. For scientific research associations, universities, colleges, or Indian scientific research companies, submit statements required by rules 5D, 5E, and 5F (if your income tax return is due on November 30, 2023).
11. E-file a report (Form No. 3CEJ) for eligible investment funds regarding the arm's length price of remuneration paid to the fund manager (if your income tax return is due on November 30, 2023).
12. The due date for filing a Return of Income in Form ITR-7 for the Assessment Year 2023-24 has been extended to November 30, 2023, for assessees referred to in clause (a) of Explanation 2 to section 139(1).
