The income Tax Dept enables online filing of Income Tax Returns

The income tax department has enabled the income tax returns form (ITR1) and (ITR2) for the fiscal year 2022-23. Individuals, small business owners, and professionals are required to file these income tax return forms.

The income tax department said in a tweet that the other utilities for ITR forms will be available shortly on the portal.

 The income tax department replied to a tweet by an individual."ITR 1 and 4 for Assessment Year 2023-24 are enabled for filing in online mode at the e-filing website,"

Individuals who do not require their accounts to be audited have until July 31 to file their income tax returns for the fiscal year 2022-23. Individuals, salaried class, and senior citizens need to file ITR.

Businesses and professionals who have chosen presumptive taxation and individuals with an annual income below Rs. 50 lakh are required to file income tax returns (ITR-2).
