Indian CA Firms Allowed to Advertise from April 2026
New Delhi, December 12, 2025
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that Chartered Accountant (CA) firms will be allowed to advertise their services starting April 1, 2026.
This change ends a long-standing restriction that limited how CA firms could promote themselves. The move is aimed at helping small and mid-sized firms grow and reach clients in the digital space.
ICAI President Charanjot Singh Nanda said the new rules will allow CA firms to share information about their services through websites, social media, and email. Firms will also be able to explain their areas of work, especially services like tax filing, business advice, and other non-audit services.
However, strict limits will remain. CA firms cannot make false claims, compare themselves with other firms, or make promises that cannot be guaranteed.
The change is expected to benefit businesses as well, giving them more choice and easier access to the right professional help.
