According to information from the Income Tax Department, the helpline numbers for Aaykar Sampark Kendra (ASK), which are 1800 180 1961, and 1961, are scheduled to be discontinued from June 1st, 2023. This change will take place after a period of nearly 11 months from now.

Aaykar Seva Kendra

The Aaykar Seva Kendra functions as a centralized platform for taxpayers to register their applications and file returns, offering a convenient single-window system. 

Taxpayers have the option to submit their applications in person or utilize the drop box facility. Upon submission, a system-generated unique acknowledgment number is provided instantly. 

This acknowledgment number can be used to track the status of applications and returns. Furthermore, taxpayers can obtain information regarding the resolution of requested services from the Aaykar Seva Kendra (ASK).
