The Institute issued the ICSI (Continuous Professional Education) Guidelines in 2019, which came into effect on April 1, 2020. These guidelines aim to help members maintain an optimal level of professional competence and uphold high quality and standards in the professional services they provide.

In accordance with Para 5.2.2 of the Guidelines, all members of the Institute, excluding those specified in Para 5.1, are required to obtain 20 CPE (Continuous Professional Education) Credits per year. These credits can be earned through both structured and unstructured learning programs. It is important to note that any excess CPE Credits earned in one year cannot be carried forward to the following year.

To assist members in meeting the obligatory CPE (Continuous Professional Education) Credit requirement for the period between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023, the Institute's Council has extended the deadline for obtaining the mandatory CPE credits. Members now have until May 31, 2023, to fulfill this requirement.

Members are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure that they fulfill their CPE (Continuous Professional Education) Credit requirements as per the ICSI (Continuous Professional Education) Guidelines, 2019. It is advised that members complete their CPE Credits by no later than May 31, 2023.
