MCA Postpones LLP Regional Director Restructuring
New Effective Date: February 16, 2026
Under Section 68A(1) of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the implementation date from January 1, 2026 to February 16, 2026.

- Why the delay? To ensure smooth transition & allow LLPs sufficient time to align with new regional jurisdiction maps.
- What stays the same? 10 Regional Directorates (RDs) are still being established; powers and functions remain identical.
- Who’s affected? All LLPs registered under the LLP Act, 2008, particularly regarding filings, compliance, and name approvals.
⚠️ What You Should Do Now
- Check your new RD using the upcoming MCA jurisdiction map.
- Continue filing under the current RD until February 15.
- Mark Your Calendar: February 16 is the "Go-Live" date.
