HDFC Bank: Senior Citizen Care FD Ending on July 7

In May 2020, HDFC Bank introduced a fixed deposit called Senior Citizen Care FD. This special FD scheme provides an extra interest rate of 0.25% (in addition to the existing premium of 0.50%) for deposits less than Rs 5 crores, with a term ranging from five to ten years. The bank is currently offering a 7.75% interest rate. It's important to note that this scheme will be available until July 7, 2023.

As per the information provided on the HDFC Bank website, if you choose to close your Fixed Deposit before its maturity date, specifically for the offer mentioned above, after a period of 5 years, the applicable interest rate will be 1.25% lower than the contracted rate or the base rate that applies during the duration the deposit has remained with the bank, whichever is lower.

SBI Amrit Kalash (400 Days): 30 June

The State Bank of India has recently launched a special scheme called "Amrit Kalash" with a tenor of 400 days. Under this scheme, the bank offers an interest rate of 7.10%, while senior citizens enjoy a higher interest rate of 7.60%. It's important to note that this scheme will be available until June 30, 2023.

SBI: Wecare Scheme Ending on 30 June

SBI has introduced a special fixed deposit scheme called SBI Wecare FD, exclusively designed for senior citizens. This scheme has a term ranging from 5 to 10 years. Under the SBI Wecare FD scheme, senior citizens can avail of a competitive interest rate of 7.50%. It's important to note that this scheme will remain valid until June 30, 2023.

Indian Bank Special FD: IND SHAKTI 400 DAYS Ending on June 30 

The bank has introduced a scheme called IND SHAKTI 555 DAYS, which offers different interest rates for the general public and senior citizens. For the general public, the bank offers an interest rate of 7.25%, while senior citizens can enjoy a higher rate of 7.75%. 

Additionally, senior citizens can avail of an even higher rate of 8% for a tenure of 400 days. The minimum investment required for this plan is Rs. 10,000, and the maximum investment allowed is less than Rs. 2 Crore for a duration of 400 days, with callable options. It's important to note that this scheme will be available until June 30, 2023.
